Idaho Mediation Association

The Idaho Mediation Association (IMA) was incorporated as a nonprofit organization in 1983, holding chapters throughout the entire State of Idaho.

The IMA members practice mediation in a variety of areas including divorce, business, environmental, family, government, and workplace. By offering a safe environment for parties to express their needs and concerns, discuss options and reach a mutually agreeable resolution, IMA's members assure the fairness of the process, facilitate communication, and maintain the balance of power between all parties involved.

Our members have gone through the required process to become a Certified Professional Mediator (CPM). They practice in all areas of Idaho, with some members practicing throughout the U.S., as well as internationally.

"The courts of this country should not be the places where resolution of disputes begins. They should be the places where the disputes end after alternative methods of resolving disputes have been considered and tried."
-Sandra Day O'Connor

“Peace is not the absence of conflict but the presence of creative alternatives for responding to conflict -- alternatives to passive or aggressive responses, alternatives to violence.”
-Dorothy Thompson
